Jazz brothers put on the blues in an Elizabeth Bay living room ... Musicales with the mostest

THE Ottignon brothers presented an evening of sleek jazz earlier this month (January 2014) at the Elizabeth Bay digs of Anthony Browell and his partner Jan Howlin.

Aron Ottignon on piano, brother Matt on sax, and the third sibling Eden on double bass.

An assembly of music lovers and greying groovers raised a few bob for the trio. There was lots of great music, some uneven singing, followed by a sumptuous supper with Moroccan and Greek inspired dishes.

A very bluesy sort of night.

Browell's musicales, where he raises money for talented musos, are rightly famous.

Last year he hosted a terrific evening of brilliant young pianists and violinists. Eveyone wandered off into the night completely uplifted by the talent this country has to offer.

BTW Aron is performing on Friday January 24 at Venue 505. Details here

Eden, on electric and double bass, is also featured on a digital album called Sun Chasers. Details here
